My Grief Story: Why I Created Gentle Grief Support

My Grief Story

Like so many who search for grief support, I arrived here because of personal loss. Grief has a way of changing everything — the silence in the house, the empty space at the table, the ache that no words can fully capture.

In those first days and weeks, I often felt alone, even when surrounded by people who loved me. The world moved forward, but my heart felt stuck in the weight of what was missing.

There were moments I wanted the world to stop, to cry with me, to acknowledge how broken everything felt. But it didn’t stop — and in time, I realized that was a gift too. Because when I was ready to look up, I could see that good things had still been happening around me. It reminded me that even in loss, life holds beauty and hope.

What Helped Me Cope

What carried me through wasn’t just rituals or routines — it was people. After his death, my circle grew much smaller, but the ones who stayed were incredible. They showed up, they listened, they held space for me when I couldn’t hold myself.

And then there were my dogs. If I hadn’t needed to get up and take care of them, I don’t know if I would have gotten out of bed. They gave me purpose in the small, everyday moments, and their love was a steady comfort when words weren’t enough.

Why I Created Gentle Grief Support

Through that experience, I realized how important it is to have spaces where grief is honored with gentleness and compassion. That’s why I created Gentle Grief Support by BondedbyArt.

Here, I hope to offer what helped me most:

  • Words and reflections to remind you that you are not alone.
  • Guided journals to create space for your thoughts and memories.
  • Simple comforts and resources that may bring peace in the midst of pain.

A Gentle Note

This is part of my story, but I know each grief journey is deeply personal and unique. Wherever you are in yours, I hope this space feels like a hand reaching out to yours — a reminder that you are seen, loved, and not walking alone.

💜 Thank you for being here. Go gently with yourself.
